Hello steemians,
Those of you who don’t know Pakistan is a country which banned dealing in digital currency when bitcoin began to boom because frankly the banks didn’t understand the block chain concept and the political situation of Pakistan wasn’t as stable as well
This made it very difficult for any Pakistani who lived in Pakistan to deal in digital currency because it was hard to find an authentic , non fraud source to exchange digital currency with tangible money since the bank refused to deal in digital currency. As a Pakistani myself I can attest to this. The ban didn’t mean that it was illegal to deal in digital currency it meant that the bank will not be involved in any digital currency.
But after the state bank of Pakistan announcing to launch its own digital currency called the e-rupee it sounds like good news for the future of block chain in Pakistan.
