Jazz has been given the 4G spectrum by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) after it paid the license fee, we have checked formally.
According to information shared with Mohsin Khan, Jazz paid 100% of license fee that sums to USD 295 million as a base price & an extra 10% in taxes to start its work on growing the existing 4G coverage in Pakistan.
“This growth is truly very exciting for us at Jazz because it allows us to provide Pakistan with a far reaching & enhanced mobile broadband experience,” Aamir Ibrahim, CEO – Jazz said. “Attainment of the extra spectrum proves Jazz’s investment in the country’s digital future – in line with our vision of becoming a true digital entity.”

This redirects Jazz’s promise & support for the Government & its digital Pakistan’s plan. Jazz was the only operator to have partaken in the 4G spectrum auction & therefore qualified as the winner without any bidding.
By expanding its 4G network, Jazz looks to bring in new digital experiences designed to not only provide outstanding communications services, but also appropriate financial, business & entertainment solutions.
