Katrina Kaif is a British-Indian model and actress who was born in Hong Kong to a Caucasian British mother and Kashmiri Indian father. Katrina Kaif was born on July 16, 1983, in Hong Kong and was raised by Caucasian British mother Suzanne Turquotte and Kashmiri-Indian father Muhammad Kaif who was a businessman and her mother was an English lawyer and a very active social worker. Katrina has three elder sisters, an elder brother, and three younger sisters. Her family moved frequently and finally decided to settle in England, where she was home-schooled by her mother and many tutors. Due to the early divorce of her parents, her mother brought her up and her siblings.

Professional Career

Katrina Kaif started her professional career as a model in 2003 when she participated and won a beauty contest in Hawaii and from there she moved to England and started participating in London fashion week where she was spotted by UK based filmmaker Kaizad Gustad who signed her for a role in his English-Hindi erotic heist film Boom. This movie brought her to the spotlight and there she started getting many offers from Indian movie makers. In 2015 she appeared for a short role in blockbuster Bollywood movie "Sarkar". Despite her British accent and lack of Hindi language, many directors were hesitating to sign her in their movies. She worked hard with learning the Hindi language and she got fluent in Hindi and gave a couple of super hit movies like Singh is King, and Welcome. In 2012 she appeared in an item number song "Chikni Chameli" for movie Agneepath, which got very famous.

In 2013 she appeared in the third sequel of movie Dhoom-3, against Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan, although she acted in a supporting role she gave the most sensational dance performance on the title song for the movie. In another internationally ranked movie Jab Taq hay Jaan she appeared against Shahrukh Khan for the first time. This was another blockbuster movie from her.

Katrina Kaif has also been working with many charitable organizations, as her mother is running and working with many of them and she is an activist for child care and underprivileged girls and rescue abandoned baby girls. She participated in game shows like Das ka Dum, and most famous Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), and all the money she won were donated to her mother's charity organization called "Relief Project India". She also performed several times in "Temptations Reloaded" concert for 2008 in Amsterdam, and for 2013 in Muscat along with Bollywood king Shahrukh Khan.

She has been named the 'World's Sexiest Woman' by 'FHM' magazine multiple times and was named the 'Most Beautiful Woman' in India by 'People' magazine in 2011.
