Charsadda is a town and head of the Charsadda District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is located around 29 kilometers from Peshawar and is at a height of 276 meter’s. The current 2017 census dictates that the Charsadda district as a whole contains 1.616 million people.
The district is surrounded by the Malakand District in the north end, Mardan in the east, Nowshera in the south and Federally Administered territories in the west. Compared to the rest of KPK, Charsadda is said to have the most amount of fertile land for farming. There is an estimated of 180339 acres of irrigated land in the region. This is facilitated by the three rivers surrounding the region; River Jindi, the Kabul River and the Swat River. All of which are subsidiaries which eventually join into the large Indus river.
