Priyanka Chopra is an Indian actress, singer, film producer, philanthropist, and one of the very few Bollywood actors who also worked in Hollywood film industry, and she is highest paid and most popular Bollywood actress. She was born in Jamshedpur a small town in Jharkhand district in South India. She made her acting debut in 2002 from a Tamil movie Thamizhan. She was also the winner of the Miss World 2000 contest. In 2017 Chopra was listed as World's 100 Most Powerful Women, by the famous fashion magazine Forbes.

Priyanka Chopra was born on July 18th, 1982, in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand in south India. Her father Late Ashok Chopra and her mother Madhu Chopra both were physicians in Indian Army. As both of her parents were in the Indian army, who frequently got transferred, and as a result, Priyant spent her childhood in different cities throughout the country like Delhi, Pune, Lucknow, Bareilly, and Ladakh. She had her initial education from several schools including La Martiniere Girls School, Lucknow, St. Maria Goretti College, Bareilly, Newton North High School in Newton, Massachusetts, John F. She is the first cousin of Bollywood sensation Parineti Chopra, Meera Chopra, and Barbie Handa.
Professional Career From Start to Till Date
Chopra started her professional career in acting from a Tamil movie in 2002 and her first Bollywood movie was a spy thriller "The Hero" was released in 2003, and since then she has worked in more than 50 Bollywood movies and many of them were Indian cinema blockbuster where Chopra has received numerous awards, including a National Film Award and Filmfare Awards in five categories. Before starting her career in films she received Miss India & Miss World beauty contest awards which gave her the instant fame and she took the next right step into Indian film industry. In 2012 she became famous for her role of an autistic woman in the movie Barfi. She locked in several awards for her role in Barfi, and it was considered as the best performance in her career.
American Television Series
In 2015 she appeared in American Television show Quantico, and she enrolled herself as first Indian actress to appear in an American TV series. She also received a people's choice award for "Favourite Actress In A New TV Series" for this show about FBI recruits. Quantico became the most favorite Television show on Netflix as well.
Singing Career
Priyanka started her professional singing career in 2011 when she signed worldwide recording agreement with Universal Music Group. She also recorded a song "I'm feeling so Exotic" with renowned American rapper Pitbull.
