Folk tales in Pakistan Culture

 Every culture and society in the world has its own share of the folk tales which become an integral part of that society. Like all other culture Pakistani culture has its own share of folk tales which is so beautiful and interesting.  There are number of folk tales which are the part of Pakistani culture. These tales are the beautiful blend of fiction and reality. Different famous poets have sung the songs of popular love stories and they are famous for their great artThe most famous folk tales in Pakistani culture are that of Heer Ranjha Sassi Punnu Sheerin Farhad Laila Majnu and Mirza Sahibaan. These all are originated from the different parts of Pakistan .The poets who wrote them are admired for their great writing and imaginative skills through which they paid tribute to the lovers who died for the sake of love and became immortal.The most famous poets, who wrote the verses relating the folk tales, are Waris Shah and Peelu.The folk tales are those which keep moving from generation to generation. In many villages in Pakistan it is a custom to sit together and a one person among the crowd sings the poetry or tells the folk tale while others listen. This is their own way to refresh their minds after a tiring day of hard work.Some of the poets like Waris Shah have god so much popularity that their words are quoted by the people as the wisdom words. Almost all the writers or the singers of these tales have used hyperbole that is a famous poetic technique in which poets describe the few things like the beauty of the heroine or hero with extra ordinary exaggeration to make people imagine the two beautiful characters fallen in true love with each other.These folk tales can be rightly considered the treasure of Pakistani culture because they give it depth and beauty and also inspire the sense of being a part of land where so much deep ant true lovers have taken birth.
