Meet 17 year old Ahed Tamimi, a Palestinian activist who was recently released from Israeli prison just over a week ago, after serving an 8 month prison sentence for slapping an Israeli soldier who had just shot her 15 year old cousin in the face. Her bravery in the face of injustice and oppression has been an inspiration to many people who seek freedom and justice all around the world. I put this video together to raise awareness of the Palestinian plight, by shining the light on Ahed Tamimi and her message which is the message of all Palestinians. A compilation of clips in which the West Bank activist and resistance icon speaks about her experience being jailed and the struggle of living under occupation.
It is not anti-semetic to condemn Israeli crimes against humanity and systematic oppression of Palestinians who suffer each and every day in the West Bank and Gaza due to the Israeli Occupation. This silence due to fear only perpetuates the cycle of oppression and violence the Palestinians are continually subject to. Don't be afraid to speak out against injustice and oppression no matter who is committing these crimes against humanity. It is this fear and silence in the face of injustice which allows evil to persist. If the world simply had a lot more people with the heart and courage of Ahed Tamimi, tyranny and injustice wouldn't be able to last very long.
