I set myself a mid year goal of hitting 50,000 Steem power on my account but as you can see from viewing my wallet I am still a little over 10k short of that goal.
I did however write a post about knowing when to pivot and change your loads and that they should never be set in stone.
So did I end up achieving the goal I set up for ?
Well in a way YES I did
The last few months here on steemit have been pretty crazy, a lot of powering down, complaining, dislike of the new Hardfork. But also good things such as possible work now finally happening on SMT (Smart media tokens) but more importantly Steem-Engine released their own tokenized system which I LOVE. I have a feeling I am going to end up liking it more then SMT honestly.
While I did not hit 50k steem powered up in my account I do in fact have over 50k steem in terms of value. This comes from locked up steem in miners for LEO, PAL and Steem Engine tokens.
To me I consider this an success and honestly beating my expected goal which was a long stretch as I started with just about 15,000 steem at the start of the year.
Investment goals moving forward?
I think i'll strive for 50k steem powered on the account within the next month of July. From there I will most likely power up the rewards that come in but the SBD and steem earned I will most likely invest into other tokens on steem-engine and possible see what is up with SMT.
I do have a strong feeling that we still may not see SMT this year. I honestly would be curious for someone over to steem to write up the goals of SMT and if there are any current projects that will be jumping on board right out of the gate and which ones those will be. Without that information I really have no business sense as to what to expect from a SMT launch.
Wow man, that is one hell of an achievement hitting Orca status to me that a looooong term goal I'm still trying to hit my 5k. I really hope to get there by the end of this year if all goes well, will keep pushing and trading until then

I am gaining on it too.
Without putting any fiat it, which will not happen unless we get a major drop in price, I will probably hit it in September or October.

Congrats on it though....Almost at Orca-hood ;)
