This probably isn't going to be a long or super spectacular post, I wanted to take the time to write it though.
Even though there are over 1 million accounts on the Steem blockchain, lately, (because of the prices?), there has been significantly less blogging activity.
I wanted to take a moment to recognize some of the users I have noticed continuing to plug away even while others have drifted off. I'm not talking about the whales. There are some users who have a pretty significant stake on here and because of that, they would be doing what they are doing anyway.
That is not to say that I don't appreciate what larger users like @exyle, @gooddream, @rosatravels, @acidyo and @surpassinggoogle are doing on a daily basis. It can be hard to be motivated when the rewards are so low. I really respect the commitment and the vision of the following people, knowing that by continuing to write, they are putting themselves in a better position for the future of Steemit.
The Tenacious Few (AKA The List)
If you aren't following any of the people in these lists, you need to fix that as soon as possible. Not only will you receive awesome information on pretty much a daily basis, you will also see what makes for a good post and be able to hone your craft.
I hope I was clear enough about my intent for this post that it won't just be seen as random or blatant tagging. I try to avoid that as much as possible. I just think this group of people deserves some recognition for what they are continuing to offer this platform.

Thank you so much for the mention @bozz! Activity has drastically changed. I have to say that for me I haven’t invested any funds, but only my time and efforts here for the last 3 years. You can look at my wallet and see that lol! I was supposed to be a Dolphin by now! 😅
I can imagine the frustrations and disappointment of those who have invested their time and money into this plattform. I know that the price of Steem has a lot to do with the massive leave but also the powering down of big accounts scared people away too. I know some people who quit their jobs to become a full time blogger here so you can imagine how they feel. But everyone knows with crypto you are taking risks diving in and investing and nothing is promised.
So for me I choose to stay here and remain dedicated to the community’s I contribute to because I enjoy it! It’s not an obligation or a job but only enjoyment and that’s why it’s easy for me to hang around. It makes me sad how things are right now though. Sometimes when you post you hear crickets out there in the plattform and not many responses. But if my posts and contributions can encourage just one person then it’s still all worth it to me. Steemit has helped me learn so much and to become a better writer/blogger than I would ever imagined I would be. It has helped me find new interests and to reach creative heights I had no idea were in me. This is my pastime, my hobby away from work at home so I don’t plan on going anywhere.
I’m not sure what the future holds for Steemit but I do know when you find something this Awesome it’s hard to just let it go when things seem not promising. I do pray for a miracle in that things will pick back up and the prices will drive high again. We need a revival up in this place! 😂

Gosh what an honour to find my name here with these amazing people @bozz, many who I follow and some I'm curious to look up now!
I just had my second Steemit anniversary and am so thankful for what I've learnt here and for the friends I've made. I just wish I had more time but will continue blogging to my heart's content whether Steem goes up or down as long as my friends are still around! I really enjoy sharing my love of cooking and baking and other lifestyle subjects and just love the feedback from those who read my posts, it's really an awesome feeling! Of course it's a bonus if a post does well and I call that winning the Steemit Lottery :)
I've seen many foodie contests die a sudden death here, mostly due to the low price of Steem I believe and that's sad but understandable. @jaybird was relentless and continued running the Sandwich Contest mostly on his own Steem till it reached the big 100, by that time the contestants could be counted on one hand; he simply could not go on like that indefinitely!
I joined Whaleshares because of the CookWithUs Contest, so do crosspost at times, but Steemit will always be my home!

I am happy that Tasteem has continued to do well through the past couple of months. It is sad that so many contests come and go here though. I feel like it has been forever since I checked out the Steem Kitchen section, so I might need to see what they are up to. Between @steemkitchen and @tasteem, there are tons of opportunities for food lovers.

I look through my feed and I'm shocked how few posts are appearing. I have over 2300 followers, but hardly any interaction except for a few diligent and loyal steemians. I'd add @tatoodjay and @jerrytsuseer and @taskmaster4450 to the list of tenacious few. I'm sure there's more, but these fine Steemians come to mind.

Wow, awesome post payout! I am definitely one of the guilty ones that haven't been adding much value to the steem blockchain lately but I had felt like no one was paying attention anyhow. I am still on daily, my behavior has just changed. Now I hang out on steemhunt a lot, and I do dtube videos regularly. The way I see it is the old steemit idea is kind of dead, now we have factions and groups which are doing there own thing taking us away from steemit slowly, which was always the idea in the first place. One day steemit itself may not even exist because things like steemspeak and esteem will replace it totally.
But in any case I should be a little more one it when it comes to supporting my fellow steemians. Thanks for the reminder. congrats on the post :)

Thanks, I did some work on the side for a group and that upvote is how they agreed to pay me. I am not really one to do anything besides blog but if I can position myself now to make some passive income in the future, I am cool with that. I like steemhunt as well. I wish I had delegated to them sooner. I'd love to be an influencer with them one day and I already signed up for the reviewhunt trial. Awesome things happening there!

Steemhunt is so awesome, I just got my influencer status so let me know anytime you make a steemhunt post and I will make sure you get a payout cuz my upvote is worth 24.24 points! I am actually really stoked about that, it took quite a while for me to get there. Basically 5 or more comments and full upvotes everyday for 3 or 4 full months!
I have never delegated to steemhunt but I am thinking about doing it now, better late then never right? I had started powering down some of my steem thinking the next bull run was on its way but decided just today that I am going to keep all of my steem for the long run because I really do believe that this blockchain has what it takes to easily be in the top 10 market cap even though it seems to be struggling lately.
I am pretty excited about reviewhunt and signed up for early release too but I am partial to steemhunt, dtube and actifit right now. I think that along with splinterlands will be the huge hits on the steem blockchain this year. So many big things happening on steem, so exciting!!!!!

Yeah, the amount of the upvote and the amount of comments really matter. My sp is really low because i have delegated so much, so my upvote is only worth a penny, not much reason to give an upvote smaller than that (which works out well for me on steemhunt) and id rather use em them loose em, ya know. But u have a much bigger account and are much more active on steemit so u might like to hold on to ur upvotes more. But as a influencer i am garunteed 5 upvotes a day from steemhunt usually totally atleast $1.20 usd per day from those 5 upvotes and comments.. pretty easy lemmon squeezy, no thought behind a long post or time uploading a video. Plus at these steem prices thats 4 steem a day, over 100 steem a month just for commenting! I call that a win :0)

I am a bit late to comment in here. Thank you for the mention, @bozz! Except a few names, I've been following all the rest of the steemians on the list. I am hoping to go back to post daily once autumn starts. During summer, there are too many things to do and no time. Writing and hibernating go together ;0))).
I have seen many people migrating towards other platforms. I registered for to others as well but I always come back here because of the community. Incentives were never a drive for me. If it happened to get curated, it was a nice surprise, but that was not the main reason for blogging in here.

I've been a bit less (cough) than daily recently. I've got stuff to write, it's just, I don't know, malaise. It's really not the money with me, I just go through soft spots.

Thanks, I appreciate it. This past trip was one of the first ones that had two trees close enough together for me to put it up. We took our nephews with us and they loved it. I hear you about luls in writing having nothing to do with the money. Sometimes making sure you post every so often can feel too much like work and if I wanted to work I would do my day job. When I get to that point I usually take a step back. Keeping my activity on the weekends light has helped a lot with the "fatigue".

I keep posting out of habit. Could be a good time to get more Steem rewards if less people are active. We only ever have a few percent of the total accounts active. There are a lot of bots, but others just do nothing. Steemit have created many thousands, but I'm not sure they do anything. We need activity here. It's a social site that can be fun even if you don't make much. Still more than elsewhere.

For sure! It is crazy the amount of activity there is vs. the number of accounts that are out there. Even if 50% of them are bots, there should still be a lot more interaction here...
