Chicken in Coconut's Gravy😊

Being born and brought up in Aceh, Chicken Head is something unfamiliar for us to consume. I remember that when My Dad kill the chicken by cut its throat where the big vein exists. I used to have a job as the helper to hold the chicken. My Mom would seperated the head and threw it away. Even if we bought a chicken meat from the market, No Head at all.
Getting Married and move away from my hometown to South East Tangerang, Banten (was West Java), I found out that people there consume the head or cook it for many recipes too. Chicken's soup is the most familiar one. I always ask the vegetable seller who also sells chicken meat and fishes to seperates the chicken head for me😊 I don't use it.
My FIL was doing the shopping last week, He bought half of the chicken including the head and I keep it😊. I want to know, who will eat it. I made a simply cook. Put all kind of spices I have like nutmeg,candlenut,coriander,pepper,cumin,cardamom, roasted coconut's flake, chilli, turmeric, ginger, garlic and shallot, cinnamon,clove, star anise,bayleaf and coconut milk, with kaffir lime leaf and lemongrass too.
Stir-fry all the mashed seasoning (chilli,pepper,garlic,ginger,shallot,turmeric,cumin,coriander,nutmeg,candlenut and roasted coconut's flake) then add bayleaf,lemongrass, cardamom, star anise, clove,cinnamon bark, kaffir lime leaf till it smell good then put in the chicken meat, pour some waters and let it till half-cooked on medium heat. Pour the coconut milk and keep stir it up until well-cooked. Arghh.. don't forget to add salt to the taste😉.

I think he did it after he saw the picture I shared on facebook where all the commenters freakin out😂😁😀.
Yeaahh.. many friends from Aceh thought it's kinda creepy cooking 😂 well.. you won't know the taste until you take a chance to eat it.
and this soup is today's menu for lunch😊
Anyway, what do you think about chicken head?

That looks delicious but I think I'd eat everything except the chicken head. 😒

😂😂 Thank you @dandays😊 I was thinking of joining the food fight friday.. but it's a foodfight not freakin'friday 😊 though..I know the weirdest chicken head image on my hubby's post last year too.. (will check on it in my google photos because we shared the same phone at that time).
I dunno what stopped me to put the #fff before I changed it to palnet and food👀🙈 I mean it. I miss the moment I hang around the #fff kitchen too.
I love his dread hair too😊 thinking about it, I was curious about it and fallen for him after I found his picture with that hair 😂😂😂😂 My mom told him to cut that hair before our wedding day and I stand for him to keep the dread, no matter happened at that time☺

No chicken head. It gives me the willys. I am so picky about the meat I eat. If I can see anything that reminds me that it was once alive, I can't eat it. The chicken head fits that. Now the picture of the soup, looks amazing. If you told me there was a chicken head in it, I couldn't do it. I would be looking for grey matter and what have you.

Of you ever in a survival situation like me before due to the conflict, basic training of mountain climber and disasters.. you won't mind to eat anything available around😊.. it's just a chicken head anyway (I don't eat it either😂😁😀).
Don't worry about the veggie soup😉 it's free from animal product.. carrot,potatoe,bean, cabbage, celery,leek, ginger, onion, tomato, garlic and cinnamon😊..ahh.. coconut oil too. So.. it's animal free😂

If my survival depended on it, I would eat to survive. Survival changes everything. I think the soup would be fine with the chicken in it. I just couldn't know it was the head. Completely dumb I know.

Well.. last year, My Elder SIL cooked a big pot of chicken clear soup for our family gathering... her daughter in law, the prettiest one and she asked me to collect the chicken head in the pot for her... 20 heads😂😂😂 she ate everything.
