Potential E-Cig Ban Enables Law Enforcement To Seize Vehicles Of Vape Users

In Massachusetts a bill was recently passed in the House that could further shred property rights for all individuals in the region, by ultimately affording police the authority to confiscate vehicles and other assets when they find untaxed vaping products while on the job.

The state has been seeking to implement a vaping ban on all vaping products being sold on the shelves. However, a judge has previously ruled that it is likely unlawful to have such a restriction implemented, but rather than overturn the legislation the judge gave authorities until the end of Oct to rewrite the controversial ban.

Superior Court judge D. Wilkins recently asserted that the vaping ban causes irreparable harm to medical cannabis patients who medicate with THC oil by vaping.

As far as medicating with cannabis thc oil, researchers have previously suggested that this is a much cleaner consumption method than traditional joints or other avenues.

New changes in Mass are seeking to ban all flavored tobacco products in the region and impose at least a 75 percent tax on electronic cigarettes. That bill is now expected to be passed soon by the senate.

For those who are caught violating the rules and buying something off the grid, they could face thousands of dollars in fines and officers could also have the option to seize assets of those users including any airplanes, boats, and motor vehicles, where the vape products are found.

"This is completely insane and endangers the property rights of anyone in Massachusetts," - IJ attorney D. Alban

As one representative behind the move has tried to argue, all of those fruity flavors are only being used for one purpose and that is to entice young people to consume the product, but why then don't they apply the same reasoning and violence to big pharma products, alcohol, and a wide range of detrimental, unhealthy, and toxic food products? The government doesn't care about the safety of the individual, especially not when they seek to perpetually erode property rights, safety isn't what this entire move to tax and crackdown on vaping has ever been about.
