I have Harvested A Bunch Of Plantains From Our Garden

About 2 months ago, I wrote about my garden, you can read about that post using this link My garden in pictures. In the post I wrote about my plantain tree, it had a bunch of plantain on the tree but the fruit had not matured then and was not ripe to harvest then.

I was busy at the garden weeding grasses from the base of the fruits and veggies I planted. My kid noticed one of the plantains among the bunch had ripened, so I had to harvest it before birds start feasting on it.

We are really very happy about this because my wife and I have been coming up with loads of ideas about different recipes we will be preparing with it. My son just wants them ripe and fried because it tastes sweeter that way. Lol.

Tomorrow we’re harvesting some pumpkin leaves and we’re going to prepare unripe plantain portage with veggies. We’ll see how that goes.
