For starters and even sometimes, veterans, the choice of cryptocurrency wallet to use is not an easy one to make. The choice to go for a cold wallet or an hot wallet, the selection among arrays of wallets out there, the trade offs ( security or accesibility) among many others things, are the decisions that's left for all cryptocurrency enthusiast.

It is even more tough to get acquainted easily with some crypto wallets especially when you are just starting out. Because you don't know who or what to trust. This is why i'm poised to do a review on Bitberry crypto wallet. I'm sure you're wondering why Bitberry? when there are other popular ones out there. Well, that is the essence of the review. But to start with, i'll talk briefly about the inception and the company behind bitberry.

Inception

The company behind the development of bitberry is Rootone. This company was incorporated as far back as 2016 and consist primarily of technology savvy founding members. The CEO formerly founded Lotiple which was later acquired by Kakao and he helped develop a lot of services for Kakao including Kakaotalk, Kakaostory, kakaotaxi etc.

Rootone started creating bitberry in 2017 and in 2018 a major milestone of equity funding was provided by Dunamu, a major operator of Korea's largest exchange, Upbit. Then, the company launched in 2018 as a platform to send money all around the world easily with the blockchain technology.

Bitberry Wallet Review

Two of the main things to watch out for in a crypto wallet are ease of use and security. One certainly cannot take the place of the other, when these two are established, one can begin to look at the aesthetics, design and others. Bitberry has it all.

Bitberry boasts of a fast and simple registration, in fact, it is the fastest of all the registrations i've ever done for a crypto wallet. All you need to do is to either login with your kakao account or google account.

Process

login with your google/kakao account

No stress of going through mnemonics and private keys, enter your active phone number and enter the code sent

Then finally, enter a 6 digit pin you won't forget to open your wallet and start adding your tokens.

The beautiful part is you can transfer your tokens/coins to phone numbers on your contact list and it is 100% free. This is totally against the grain of conventional wallet addresses that you need to copy and paste from sometimes, a virus infected clipboard. What comes close to this is human readable addresses. But still, I give it to phone numbers.

Furthermore,

a wallet that has an integrated banking services should be nothing short of safe and secure. Bitberry is supported by both Android and iOS and has a very great security system that allows you to protect your wallet with a combination of passcodes, fingerprints and face recognition. Their multi-layered security also is top-notch.

Wallet pros and cons

This is going to be more like a recap of everything

Pros:

Easy and intuitive to use
No complicated sign-up process
Neat UI and a superb UX ( user experience)
100% free for users sending via phone contacts
Very safe and secure: Multi-factor authentication and multi-layered security

Cons:

Non-availability of desktop version; potential clients could be lost, as some still prefer not carrying money on them everywhere

There are not much cons here as you can see. This is very well typical of products that are good and one which the company spent every of their resources on to make it a success. The company behind bitberry have a proven track record of delivering excellence, right from the lotiple days to when it got acquired.

Other than security and accessibility, the team or company behind a crypto wallet is also important and with bitberry, i'm well impressed with what i discovered and i hope you will too when you download and use the wallet yourself

It looks cool. How do I recover my wallet when I lose my device?

It works with your google account on your phone. So, on a new device, so far you got your google account already active, you can easily login on your new device.

If there is anything i love about this wallet is the free transc feature, nice review man😀
