Music: Paint it Black - Rolling Stones

A classic song. This one can get you going for sure! It's amazing how the composure of certain songs by certain artists can remain timeless even after so many years! Great to see that some things don't fade and that the oldies still have a massive array of goodies to choose from. :)

It's funny though that the video of the Vietnam War was attached to this. lol. I see that footage and I hear the words "I see a red door and I want it painted black." and it makes me think about how my country just loves to fuck other countries and tries to "paint them black" to match what our country wants theirs to be. Pretty sad, but oh so true. It's crazy how many innocent lives are lost due to the ignorance of certain groups. If only our governments could stop killing and try to cooperate to achieve great things... Our race would be so much further advanced. Here's to wishful thinking. :) I haven't lost hope. Things can get better still. There are ways!

As a matter of fact, the whole song sings a tune of death and despair. I guess being orchestrated in the manner it was, allowed it to bypass the injection of those feelings due to it's upbeat nature. For me, anyhow. It came across as one of those "happy" sad songs, although the content itself was not. It's still enjoyable and maybe the darkness to it might make you think a bit about life in general. We are surrounded by death and despair. What if that changed?
