What a long weekend

This has been a good weekend so far. I found out some bad news for my grandma as in her lymph nodes lit up on a pet scan. She will not do what is necessary to heal and so while I love her I have to detach myself emotionally or damage spirit. I refuse to damage my spirit any further as I have in the past. I will do everything I can to stand as a watchman on the wall. While I was over there spending some time with her I was able to go through some of my former grandpa's things. I was able to locate a few valuables and tell grandma about their silver content an put them up. Perhaps I will upload a photo in the future of the small set that she gave me to put away. I told her to never get rid of any of it and to let me know before she does. I will certainly trade her if she is in need. My parents told me to just put them away and she will forget about them and leave them behind when her time comes.

We cleaned up my parent's basement in preparation for my Uncle to travel home to visit with her in a couple of weeks. I had a busy day and rolled up some pennies for her to put in the bank while I bought all of her metal coins that she would not save. I have a lot of copper pennies now and nickel nickels. As the dollar continues its fall they will quadruple in value. I found a small pouch of various old foreign coins. They were very fun to look at and think about.

Silver is on sale this weekend after it pulled back from a new long terms high of over 19 dollars. What happened if the currency value in your bank account lost 50% of its value within the last 12 months? What would you do to protect it? My boy played well in his football game today and his team won handily. I hope we have a good season on junior varsity. We certainly are off to a good start. He has a new girlfriend and she seems to have a good family although I have yet to meet her. I will use a coupon soon as her place of work to say hello. She does work at an ice cream shop. I do love ice cream even though it is not so good to eat. Cheers fellow steemians and have a good weekend yourself.

I have only posted a couple of times on steempeak but this seems to be a great little front end. I hope they keep making some updates for steem-engine I was reading about. Those updates sound pretty awesome. With the price of steem being so low I wanted to buy some but I will most likely not be able to buy any for a couple of more months. I wonder if anyone has any suggestions for a trading platform to exchange fiat for steem? I need to do my kyc on blocktrades.
