Lyme Regis; fishing , food and views galore

in palnet •  5 years ago  (edited)

Lyme Regis is a wonderful fishing port in Devon and is near to Dorset.

It's famous for its Jurassic coast line , its large fishing harbour and many top restaurants.

Lovers of classic literature will also recognise Lyme Regis as the place that features in the novel the French Lieutenant's Woman by John Fowler.

My favourite restaurant in the area is Hix, which has a dining room perched on the cliffs and uses local ingredients. It is quite simply a superb place for a sundowner meal and tipple.

We’ve been there one summer. Water was still too cold to swim in though 🥶
