It almost never fails- the day after I post something I find more information pertinent to what I wrote. I had planned on a day off, my hands are in agony after the past couple of days, so I'll try to keep this brief. Let's begin with the question: Why the incredible pushback by western media for Julian Assange's uncovering of the truth? The purpose of the press, as outlined by the First Amendment is to keep government honest by shining a light into the dark corners that a corrupt government wants kept dark. There are two possibilities here- either the MSM is embarrassed because Assange and Wikileaks beat them to the punch so to speak. Or more likely because the MSM has in effect become the propaganda arm of a corrupt government. Either way, it looks like it very well may cost Assange his life- a high price indeed for the crime of telling the truth. As Plato so rightly pointed out: "Nobody is more hated than he who tells the truth."
For whatever reason the MSM is as invested in perpetuating the Russia hoax as the criminals who concocted the story in the first place. In an article in the Conservative Treehouse yesterday:
If you stay out of the weeds and look at the bigger picture it is clear to see the media are all-in, desperate to retain the Big Lie that Russia was responsible for hacking the DNC servers and releasing the DNC emails. The reason is simple: the ‘Russia hack of the DNC’ is the foundation for the Russia election interference narrative. Any review, discussion or investigation (Durham) that starts to question the fraudulent foundation is immediately controversialized. Today is no different.
Uncovering the "big lie" that Russia "hacked" the DNC server is blatantly transparent, both in the actions by the DNC- hiring Crowdstrike to do a security check- and by facts, specifically whistleblower William Binney's discovery that the metadata proves that the data was downloaded onto a thumb drive or a similar data storage device making an overseas hack impossible. Yet in the face of intracontravertable evidence, the MSM perpetuates the lie that it was a hack. Binney even testified in front of Congress about his findings and was ignored... data doesn't lie. And now there's talk about a potential pardon if Assange "tells the truth about the origin of his source."
It is being reported that lawyers for Julian Assange noted in court arguments that U.S. officials had offered a potential pardon in exchange for Assange telling the truth about how he obtained the DNC emails. Immediately the media goes bananas. President Donald Trump offered a pardon through an intermediary to Julian Assange if the WikiLeaks chief agreed to say that Russia was not involved in hacking emails from Democrats during the 2016 presidential election, a lawyer for Assange reportedly told a court in London on Wednesday.
In a just world this shouldn't even be an issue, given Binney's testimony... but a just world we don't live in. The deep state is determined that Assange not be given the opportunity to tell the truth- even to the point of dragging out his extradition hearing in hopes that he will die in the captivity of Belmarsh Prison- a place that no non-violent offender should ever be imprisoned. For anyone that's been asleep for the past year, Belmarsh houses Britain's most violent offenders. This all hinges on a meeting between Assange and former Congressman Dana Rohrabacher in which Rohrabacher claims not to have been there on behalf of the president:
(See link below)
Of course this should be a moot point... except that the MSM is still trying to push the same lies. The reality is that:
The media outrage is somewhat silly. Julian Assange said from the outset he did not receive the DNC emails from Russia; and the emails did not come to him by way of a hack. It is well known the DNC emails came from a “leak” from inside the DNC.The Podesta emails, another source of wide disinformation, came from John Podesta falling for an ordinary phishing effort. Neither John Podesta nor the DNC emails came from a “hack”.However, because the “Russia hacked the 2016 election” was/is needed in order to perpetrate the Trump-Russia collusion and election interference narrative, the media are determined to attack, ridicule and marginalize anyone or anything that starts to expose the original (fraudulent) narrative.
Also interesting is the former Congressman mentioning the investigation into the death of Seth Rich... the MSM narrative still being that Rich died as a result of a "mugging gone bad." Those who have been paying attention are aware that he died as a result of a "187" put out likely by Debbie Wasserman Schultz or one of her aides. John Podesta himself Tweeted that he was "all for making an example of a leaker- whether he was guilty or not." That sounds a lot like a dog-whistle for Rich being made an example of.
It's axiomatic in the "truther" community that the Washington Post is the mouthpiece for the CIA and has been for decades. It seems that they too are very concerned with the direction that John Durham's investigation may be going... in a previous article in the Conservative Treehouse:
The media PR firm for the FBI and DOJ objectives is the New York Times. The media PR firm for the State Department is CNN. The media PR firm for the CIA is The Washington Post. This pattern has existed for several years. The Washington Post is very concerned about a growing possibility the investigation into the origin of intelligence community work may expose the fraudulent nature of the entire ‘Russian Election Interference Collusion-Conspiracy‘ narrative. Very concerned.
They are the ones pushing the narrative that "Trump is attempting to rewrite the history of the Russia probe." Is it even possible that any thinking person in the country still believes this nonsense? Yet they still push the same false narrative- the worst part being that they know that it's not only false, but unbelievable as well. And Julian Assange sits in Belmarsh Prison being psychologically tortured and drugged perhaps to death for exposing the lie... the job that the WaPo and other outlets would have done themselves had they a scintilla of integrity. According to the WaPo:
As his reelection campaign intensifies, Trump is using the powers of his office to manipulate the facts and settle the score. Advisers say the president is determined to protect his associates ensnared in the expansive Russia investigation, punish the prosecutors and investigators he believes betrayed him, and convince the public that the probe was exactly as he sees it: an illegal witch hunt. He argued that the probe into Russian election interference was based on false pretenses, despite a recent report from the Justice Department’s inspector general stating the opposite even as it criticized the FBI’s surveillance of a former Trump campaign aide. And he claimed, again without evidence, that Mueller, a former FBI director regarded for his precision with facts, lied to Congress — which happens to be one of the charges Stone was convicted of by a jury last November.
The entire country- except for the Kool-Aid drinkers inside the beltway- knows that the "probe" (read: persecution) was based on an illegal false premise... the culprits have already been caught and except for a feckless and/or corrupt Attorney General they would be prosecuted already.
It doesn’t take a deep researcher to see the aligned U.S/U.K motive to control Julian Assange because the Mueller report was dependent on Russia cybercrimes, and that narrative is contingent on the Russia DNC hack story which Julian Assange disputes. The Weissmann/Mueller report contains claims that Russia hacked the DNC servers as the central evidence to the Russia interference narrative in the U.S. election. This claim is directly disputed by WikiLeaks and Julian Assange, as outlined during the Dana Rohrabacher interview, and by Julian Assange on-the-record statements.
And it also doesn't take a genius to know that the truth is already out there, known to anyone that has been paying attention. Not only should Julian Assange not be incarcerated, his testimony shouldn't even be necessary. The real problem is on one side are the corrupt deep state operatives- we all know who they are from the Mueller "probe," and on the other side are cowards afraid to ruffle a few feathers... and in the middle is Julian Assange sitting in Belmarsh Prison waiting to die while being tortured and drugged on a daily basis for telling the truth.
Yes, it is. Someone surprised me at work the other day (because I respect their keen intelligence and normally calm demeanor) when he piped in on a conversation another coworker had started regarding Trump. Literally the Orange man title came out, and I thought the poor guy was going to have a seizure when I countered his illogical assertions for such outrage. He left muttering he would rather live in France before flinging an armful of product to the ground in anger. He hasn't spoken to me since.
I find it ironic that so many (mostly democrats) get so angry over the lifelong democrat. Ironic as well as a bit frightening that people can get so agitated.

I think it will get worse when Trump is reelected (I don't see any Dems that can beat him). Things are going to turn violent, the left has lost any semblance of civility... reasoned discourse is no longer possible.

And it's going to get worse. The Bernie Bros will go nuts when the Dems steal the nomination- and when Trump is re-elected, look out!
