Towards the end of winter we often have a lot of grey washed out colorless skies. Even though they bring danger back to the lands, I always find it nice to see the cumulus clouds come back. They add a lot of character to the sky which we do not get in the winter months.
This is a view from the Kenai Wetlands Wildlife viewing area. With the thunder and lightning comes the spring time fires. There have been several lightning strikes fire over the last couple of days, nothing major yet.
Here is another view of our spring time/almost summer skies.
Also taken at the Wetland view point. I still have a little bit of work to do on my editing skills, especially when it comes to color, the sky was really not that purply looking, almost but not quite. It was a late evening image, and the sky was darkening a little bit.
