I decided there wasn't enough excitement in my life so I decided to spice things up. What's a coin collector to do? Yeah, I got a box of quarters to search through.

In case you didn't know, the US Mint is producing quarters at the West Point mint. Yes, 2 million of each coin minted in 2019 will have a W mint mark. Some collectors have been paying quite the premium for the coins even though they have no precious metals content.

I picked up a box at the local bank and chewed my way through it all in an hour or two. To my disappointment, I didn't find any silver or any W coins. I actually didn't even find a single 2019 quarter regardless of the mint mark. I found a super-shiny 1974 that wasn't silver. I also found a 2013 Missouri quarter that has no copper ring around the edge. It was minted at the Pennsylvania Mint, which isn't where the proofs were made, so I don't know what to make of this one. If you know what this coin's story might be, please let me know in the comments.

How has your weekend been thus far?

Welcome to the world of Coin Roll hunting, lots of YouTube channels are into that and often done live stream. The W mint Mark is a Big deal should you be lucky.

Yeah, I was a bit bummed that I didn't find any because I saw some videos of people finding them. Oh, well. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

These guys go through boxes and boxes, hours and hours with the majority of the time yielding nothing, maybe a foreign, an odd silver than finding those W coins. There are plenty of videos are edited down to just the high lights.

Coin roll hunting is fun. When I first started stacking, I'd watch live coin roll hunting videos. I am always so amazed by the 40% and 90% silver halves that can still be found in half dollar boxes from banks. Quarters are trickier. You'll never know... silver quarter and dimes are known to show up in coin machines!
Have a wonderful evening, @themanwithnoname! Take care.

I looked through halves for a while, but didn't really find anything. I also check the coinstar machines sometimes when I'm in the store. Haven't really found anything though. It's still fun to look!
