This Three Toed Sloth Was Moving to Another Tree and I Had the Opportunity to Introduce the Furry Guy to Steemit.

Here in Panama we are the only country that has three types of sloth. This guy is a Three-Toed Sloth. We also have the Pygmy Three-Toed Sloth only found in Bocas del Toro and the always photogenic Two-Toed Sloths.

Here is a Graphic that @AnaHilarski Made When We had Our Tour Company.

What Was Mr. Sloth Doing on the Ground?

  1. He was moving to another food source.
  2. Dropping a deuce (toilet time).

Sloths rarely leave the trees because they are super vulnerable. If you ever see one crossing the road, please stop, pick them up from behind and take them in the direction they are heading. If you don't take them in the direction they were heading they will turn around and try to cross the road again. They are stubborn buggers.

Sloths are also herbivores and eat the leaves of their favorite trees. During the rainy season they grow moss on their backs, hence the green fur in many photos.

I've only ever used the word sloth as a metaphor. How cool that you got to see and interact with one!

That is by far the cutest High Five I have seen in one long, long time @hilarski and thanks to @AnaHilarski for the inforgraphic. An animal I doubt I will see in my lifetime so this is a wonderful share.

My wife follows a girl on insta that is obsessed with these little guys. Did you take him home? LOL

Nope, they can stay in the wild.

At least you let him know about steemit...

I actually love those animals! Never saw one IRL though... Are they easy to find up there in panama???

Cute furry..you are brave...we both would be crossing the street:-)

Haha, looks awesome. Cute and unique little buggers...

Aww, I want one!

Hahahahaha, he looks like me :D

Looks like that high five could get you a bloody hand LOL.
Very cool post my friend, never a dull moment in Panama!
Cheers

thanks for sharing @hilarski

I hope to see one in person one day. How much damage would they do to my property and the fruit trees on it? :)

I think you would be fine. They just eat leaves.

That sounds fair. Leaves for them, fruit for me!

That's pretty cute. I heard one of them will try to scratch you but I can't remember if it was the two toed or the three toed.

So, I guess if you can pick them up, they don't bite or try to scratch you then? He's a pretty cute guy, but I'm not sure I would want to venture to try to pick him up.

Their claws are sharp so you have to pick them up from behind.

How Much SBD for a sloth? 🤔🤣

you are out of control! lol

Cool @hilarski. Sounds like you had an awesome time on your vacation. Thanks for sharing such a wondering experience.

Cool photos and very interesting post! First photo is the best! Gorgeous moment!) Thank you very much dear @hilarski for sharing!

It's so cute!))

"A rolling sloth gathers no moss."
Feeling a little slothful what with the heat and humidity.
Un perezoso un poco perezoso.

I'd love sloth. I wish sloth would come home and visit me once in a while. I don't consider laziness a sin at all.

I did not know they could grow algae on their back!

I'm just curious. I watched the movie Zootopia before and they portrayed sloths as slow-movers. How slow do they actually move? :D

amazing animal I must say!

Thanks for making me discover a new animal, I thought I've seen all sorts of weirdest animals in Australia....lol

Goood work

They are so cute... He even hifived you lool!!

woow..amazing,,,interesting your post,,,beautiful a pictures..thank you fir sharing,,,,upvote me

@hilarski,
Photo #1, I like that high five :D It reminds me my high five with my 2 years old son :D
Those sloths are very lazy animals nah? I think they are damn slow than other species. Anyway that's a nice photography! Thanks for sharing with us.

Cheers~

Sloths are one of my all time favorite animals, remind me of something Jim Henson would have created lol

I am so excited to see you with my favorite animal. When I come down to visit we will be on the lookout for them. ;-)

Aww, I want one!

I spent 8 months in Panama during the Noriega times, Saw a few sloths, about a million Iguanas and all snakes and spiders I will ever need to see. The Panamanian people are great and it's a beautiful country! I'm glad I was able to see it. Thanks Uncle Sam!

I've referred to many of my old pals as sloths. That's a super cool photo @hilarski. :-D

I absolutely love sloths.
They are so adorable.
Great to see you spending time with one @hilarski

Such a cute buffer!!!

@hilarski seeing this photo, all I can think of is the sloth Flash from the movie Zootopia. Great picture. All I have are rabbits and coyotes around my house here in Colorado.

He is So cute , I would have had to keep him :)

Thought the sloth would be on the tree, not the grass haha.

Thanks for 100% upvote and resteem

Awesome man!!! Hopefully you can pass by my series posts as well regarding offgrid lighting. By the way we do not have that animal here in the Philippines.

Pretty cool! Wish we had them here. I've never seen one in person.

@hilarski - Sire, this is amazing. He is giving a high five to you. That's great nature lovers photography Sire. I am going to RESTEEM this post, hope my friends will believe it then.

+W+

How cool to be able to interact with them. They don't ever bite or are they just too slow?

They are great little fury creatures - Every one loves them... But we've gotta ensure they thrive.

Like your high five pic please follow and upvote my articles @rogerblu

Cuteness overload! This is one of the million billion reasons why we need to protect the forests.

These guys look shifty to me.. like they have some sort of agenda we don't know about.

Sure they move all slow.. look cute.. but something is up.. they have a plan :P

hahah That's so Cool !!
