I still believe that, although there is risk for the vaccinated, the vaccinated are so much better protected that they can go back to a pretty much normal life. Will you get sick? Maybe, nobody said the vaccine is perfect. What we do know is that your symptoms will be much more mild if you’re vaccinated rather than unvaccinated.
Also, your chance of death becomes an almost outlier statistic, whereas the unvaccinated have a much worse death risk. Also, a majority of hospitalizations today are from the unvaccinated, even though vaccinated people are the majority.
You can’t let this virus ruin your life, especially when we have a bunch of proven vaccines. Living on the edge (being unvaccinated and worrying every day) isn’t healthy living imo. Also becoming vaccinated and yet continuing to live your life as a hermit and never living life outside your house is not really living to me either.
If you aren’t high risk and you are vaccinated, I think the data shows that the risk is not worth giving up your life and being a hermit forever. Go live your life! Yeah there is risk in life, always has been. You could get hit by a bus tomorrow, but that doesn’t stop you from going out into the world. If you’re vaccinated your risk is so low it’s just not worth worrying about. If you’re unvaccinated then that’s a completely different point of view. You should use extreme caution, especially if not in the best health.
