Pangolin

Pangolins, 

often called “scalyanteaters,” are covered in tough, overlapping scales. 

The endangered pangolin is being eaten out of existence before many people have even heard of it. 

This specific Pangolin was featured in Disney's most recent The Jungle Book.

Pangolins are able to quickly roll themselves up into a tight ball when threatened.  

This ball is impenetrable for even the claws of a lion.

They are easy prey for the black market. . .
