THE NIGHT OF PARADIGM SHIFT steemCreated with Sketch.

I was going through my Bible this mornings, I came to the book of Esther chapter 6. Verse one reads, "On that night could not the king sleep,..."

King Ahasuerus of Persia was in great confusion that night and lost his sleep. It was a spiritual influence from God. He, God, opened the book of records concerning one of His servants, Mordecai, a Jewish captive in King Ahasuerus cabinet.

Mordecai had revealed an assassination attempt on the king by two of the King's Chamberlains. Instead of Mordecai being promoted, Haman, his rivalry and enemy was. This placed Haman at a vantage position over Mordecai; he began to plot his elimination along with his people the Jews because Mordecai refused to bow down for him.

That very night began a paradigm shift. There was no peace with the king; he spent the night researching the books of records until he got to where it was written concerning the favorable deed of Mordecai in saving his life. God has now remembered him. The table has turned around to his favor. A drama has started.

Early that very morning came Haman, who had perfected his plot against Mordecai, to the king. Before he could present his matter, the king quickly voiced out his mind bugging question, "what shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honor?"

Haman, thinking he was the man the King would honor listed the best things for honoring a person in the king's palace that they should be used to honor the man the king would want to honor.

The King ordered Haman to take all the items he mentioned to honor Mordecai according to Haman's own words. He did according to the Kong's command.

He went home sorrowfully and shamefully that morning; eventually Mordecai rose above him and Haman was hanged on the gallows which he had made for Mordecai, Esther 7.

May the Lord turn upon your adversary all the evil plots he has for you. May he also be your instrument of elevation; because you did him nothing and he plots against you.
