Paradigm Inside The Bubble

in paradigm •  7 years ago

I work in a average corporate building with windows on all sides. My little cubicle has no direct window facing area, however, my colleagues close the windows have a good view of outside. On my side of the building we face a hill and the parking lot. Not a lot to look at.

On the other side of the building, however, is a breath taking wide open panoramic view of an endless valley, lake and mountain scene.

Each day my colleagues next to the window on my side spend countless hours observing the parking habits of everyone. Noting the non-handicap person who parked in the handicap stall. The current employee parking in the visitor spot. The wind blowing the umbrella away from the person running into a safe entrance to the building. Their view is clouded by where they have been stationed in life.

On the other side the employees that sit next to the open valley view look out and comment on how nice the sunrise is, or how they look forward to heading out and hiking on that ridge just off to edge of their view.

Sometimes we are placed in certain areas in life and we just need to step out of our current view and take a look at the other view for a moment and see things from that perspective. We may be able to change our paradigm and create a visionary idea of things beyond the moment.
