Why should parents be held accountable for their children’s actions?
This belief stems from the fact that effective and proper parenting goes a long way toward shaping how children will behave in the future and how they will affect the people and society around them. As a result, parents should bear the brunt of the blame for their children’s misbehavior.

Is it normal to hold grudges against your parents?
By blaming your parents, you are still giving them an advantage in your own inner world.

It means you still expect them (or whoever is filling that void now) to change their behavior so you can feel good.
