This article draws its content from the blog post Parenting with an Infinite Mindset, found at Simon Sinek's website.
I found the article interesting, intriguing and well worth sharing. I invite you to read it and think about how you manage your family, children, daily errands, tasks small and big, ...
With what mindset do you approach your challenges? With finite or infinite?
Let's illustrate the infinite mindset with some quotes from the blog post which struck me as most appropriate and oh so familiar at times when we seem to struggle in our constant game of the tug of war with our children.
As a parent, sometimes it feels like the finite games of life — teeth brushing, room cleaning, homework finishing, etc. etc. etc. — are infinite! But when I take the time to breathe and remind myself what I really want for my daughter, I can put those tasks into perspective.
Raising five kids, I feel like the CEO, CFO, COO and HR of a small company.
Dinner is our version of a board meeting.
The goal of an infinite game is to keep going.
Little children have no concept of time, deadlines, or schedules. They only know the here and now. To them time is infinite.
Ps: will @cheetah catch this ball?
