I have not had the opportunity to travel out of my country yet but I still have dreams to make it happen. I do one day want to visit Paris and enjoy breakfast on a balcony with a view of the Eiffel Tower. As I mentioned in my introduction post that I have a burning passion for history. So I thought a few fun, history facts about the Eiffel tower would be interesting.

The Eiffel Tower was original meant to be a temporary exposition. The structure looked so strange and became so popular that it was decided to not destroy it.
In 1885, the French built the Eiffel Tower to compete in the International Exposition of 1889 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the French revolution.
The construction of the Eiffel Tower took just two years, two months and five days to complete.
- It has been 128 years since the first public opening of the Eiffel Tower.
