Shrinking handwriting is an early symptom of Parkinson's disease

Letters are getting smaller and smaller, the spaces between them are getting narrower, words are clumped together...

This change in handwriting is called micrography and indicates a disorder in the central nervous system. Often it is the development of Parkinson's disease that is associated with micrography.
