I think it is more that it will HAVE TO happen here! Governments must intersect with blockchain tech!

I haven't looked into the logistics of it here in the states, but I think it would solve many problems our government throws money at to no avail. Worth a try.

The big question is what other areas will there be results. For example, limited studies show that people who receive the UBI have less health issues. Are we looking at a situation that part of the return on UBI could be lower medical costs as an example?

These are questions that are lingering out there about it.

I hope we have a few politicians looking into it but not getting my hopes up.

It is interesting to see this on Marketwatch.  That is taking this idea through the publicity progression.

The next place it will start to show up is in the mainstream news.

Marketwatch is an investing/business website.  This is one step removed from the mainstream...although it is a heavily visited site from what I understand.

This should get some more exposure to the idea.

Finland discontinued this program recently. Apparently the hoped for results did not occur.

They actually decided not to extend it. The original program, slated to go into 2019, is continuing.

The media changed the headlines to give the illusion that the Fins ended it. Misleading.
