Just got a part-time job and my thoughts about it

I mentioned last time that I am currently unemployed, and that is due to resigning from my previous job (that will be for another story).

Fast forward 3 months (and boy, that was fast. It feels like it's been a few weeks since I left the company, which I don't miss at all), I am starting to run out of funds for my everyday expenses. My funds is mostly from my back pay and few savings I have when I was still working. I still have my wants and needs (mostly food) lol.

I am considering to go back to the workforce, but I am also reviewing for civil service eligibility exams and I don't want to compromise that one. I ended up taking a part time job for a financing company here in Philippines.

It is a simple job that you will pretend as a shopper and check if their sales employees are doing the right thing, and then send a report after. It is mostly a field work and it can be done usually 2 or 3 days a week and you can choose when you can do this! The downside is that, as this is a part time job, the pay is little compared to my previous job and this is good for 5 months only (but you can renew). I don't mind the pay and the contract as this is what I currently need at this time.

I recently attended their training last Saturday (local time) and I met few people. Most of them are professionals who need additional money.

The training itself is really easy and if you know how to act as a customer (or at least, try to be a customer), this is a really easy job. The only problem is scheduling which is a first-come, first-serve basis and I was unlucky that I didn't get any slots for this week.

After that training I realized that we will be in our separate ways and will do this job on our own. This is different from what I am used to which is after training, our batch (at least most of us) will be working together from that day forward. It is a shame since there are people that I am interested with and want to know them better, but I guess, given the work that we will do, this may not be possible.

I hope that I will earn something from this as I badly need more funds :P

Till next time
