Dear Steemit friends,

things taking off the ground. In my last post i looked at Emercoin (EMC) and i think Particl is another overseen coin in times of double digit ICO's per day! and where a brand new coin rushes into the Top 100 of coinmarketcap.com or even into the Top 20 in no time.

Metrics and Chart

Particl (PART) has a very low supply of just about a third of Bitcoin, which is basically good for a chance in price increase. Currently it's around $47 which looks expensive. Market cap is above 300 million but PART hasn't entered the Top 100 currently (rank 101).

PART had already a price push (green line) in 2018, but what's interesting was a strong resistance over 2017 at $10 and now we see the first real breakout. It's a clear winner in comparison to BTC which is thumbling for weeks now at the same price level.

Also today volume is still increasing at a smaller pace.

So what is Particl (PART)?

According to the website it is aiming for disrupting ecommerce. Behind PART there is a team of 14 fully paid developers from what i know, which means there is serious business behind.

• based on the longest established cryptocurrency Bitcoin

• cryptocurrency-agnostic (any currency taken for granted, user-friendly)
• atomic-swap readiness is quite good
• proof of stake (5% per year, currently 13% because lack of staking)
• 2 min block time (vs. Bitcoin 10 min)
• claims a good chance for investors

Future markets

In terms of trading the coin, currently there is only one bigger exchange Bittrex. In the first quarter of 2018 the team awaits trading on more exchanges which could lever the current price but not for sure.

Price prediction

The small supply of about 9 million is a plus for metrics. Current price about $47 with a relative Bitcoin price is about $20 is moderate psychologically. Market cap is far under 1 billion which is good for further appreciation. For that it's necessary to see visible progress with intented use in ecommerce, big exchanges and entry in Top 100 in coinmarketcap. The latter will happen soon i think.

Atomic Swap and Lightning Network ready

The promise regarding currency-agnostic could be verified a bit with the following overview who is ready for atomic swaps. There are many articles about Litecoin and Bitcoin for this topic. But Particl shows also the ability to join the team of currencies who are ready for the Lightning Network and swapping between different currencies especially also Ethereum (ETH).

Conclusion

What surprised me is the strong and active team behind Particl. Github shows activity on lower and higher level (core, GUI)

The concept sounds interesting but is not crystal clear to me. What's good is the approach to build an environment where you can use any cryptocurrency you want without thinking about (currency-agnostic). Strong dev team but no real world usage currently from what i'd seen currently. The team bets on people who recognize the abilities of Particl and use it. Beside the fundamentals it could be also worth to look for traders who looking for a coin which is not already extremely overvalued and just starting with a rise in 2018. The company itself see Particl as long-term investment along with mass adoption. The staking option with 5% per year with a wallet is nice but works best on a raspberry Pi without disturbing your daily work, else it's a hing many people don't want to constantly run a software in the background on the working machine. I think Particl has a quite good chance in 2018 but there are many other maybe better opportunities in the space.
