Kismet = destiny / fate
My mom used this word a lot while we were growing up. Maybe we are destined to do things ... or things that happen are fate .... maybe it’s a result of all our choices we make .... or maybe .... shit happens . But no matter how upset I’ve been or how sad I’ve been ... a part of me truly believed in kismet.

Kasmat/kismet is a beautiful arabic principal and word. :)

Thanks for sharing this!

In my head I'm not sure I am pronouncing this word correctly .. lol.

I guess different countries pronounce it differently ... but we grew up saying Kismet pronouncing it like ( kiss-met ) .

Interesting. Makes sense. Thanks for the pronunciation help.

I think Arabic people say it differently ... Eastern Europeans say it the way my mom does :) Muslims use this word a lot ... but each culture / nationality says it differently ... I know kinda weird lol
