The UK can have open boarders Or a welfare state, however it cannot have both...

The recent changes to the UK's political landscape have seen popular opinions of open boarders to now regulated ones. The reason why? People have seen the UK go from a strong economy to an almost third world one with the immanent collapse of the welfare system. Voters waking up to this cold hard reality are furious at how the EU allowed this to happen. Looking at population density figures across the EU we can see that the UK has one of the highest. Why is this figure so high is it to do with the welfare on offer, why has Spain got such a low population density. When compared to the UK its definitely got better weather conditions and living standards.
To conclude the UK is trying to shut the stable door after the horse has escaped.
