TODAY IS PET ROCK DAY!

My pet rock, Leo (breed Geode), cuddling with his favorite stuffed animal in his bed.

Every day provides us with an opportunity to celebrate life and it's joys. Today I am celebrating a craze it started in the mid-70s, the pet rock. I hope you enjoyed today's poem.

LEO THE GEODE

Have you met,
the perfect pet.

One that doesn't squawk,
or need a walk.

And has no need,
for water or feed.

You can dress him in a costume,
and there's never a need to groom.

There's no need to train,
just say stay and he'll remain.

He'll never gnaw,
or scratch you with a claw.

Please don't mock,
my pet rock.

His breed is Geode,
his name is Leo.

When he gleams,
my heart beams.
