Yes since the new EIP came in and reward splits are now 50/50 people are naturally curating more and the need for bid bots has been reduced!
If you want to buy upvotes you should send your reward to @null and remove the steem from circulation or users will flag you for trying to profit from the inflation like I have
Bid bots are used for promotion now and getting more views so we don’t see the point in earning a profit on getting more views and interactions ir should be a paid for service as with other social media sites

How does one remove steem from circulation?
And what do you mean by curating? Is that commenting & upvoting?
And by reward split does being 50/50... how does that work? Is that 50 going to the creator & 50 going to the upvoter?

With the new 50/50 split say a post earns 1 dollar 50 cents is paid to the author in steem and 50 cents is split between the upvoters in steem
When using bid bots set your post benefiary to @null before posting the article so that all steem earned from the post is destroyed So with less steem going around the price of steem can rise due to scarcity
