The total solar eclipse will occur today Tuesday (07/02/2019) until early morning.
Although it cannot be observed from Indonesia, the phenomenon of solar eclipse can be watched by live streaming via the link at the end of the news.
This phenomenon occurs above the Pacific Ocean and can only be seen directly in several South American countries such as Chile and Argentina.

Head of the BMKG Potential and Time Sign Geophysics Engineering Seismology Center, Bambang Setiyo Prayitno, said that solar eclipses could be seen in the southern Pacific region and parts of southern America.
"Some solar eclipses will be visible in most parts of the Southern Pacific Ocean and Western South America," Bambang explained in his press release on Monday (1/7/2019).
Solar eclipses occur when the moon is between the Earth and the Sun so that sunlight is closed by the moon.
Whereas the Moon Eclipse occurs when the Earth is between the Moon and the Sun and the Moon enters the shadow of the Earth.
