가끔 볼펜을 줍는다. 사람들이 떨어뜨리고간 것들이다. 몇번 써보지만 대부분은 마음에 들지 않아 치워버린다.
나는 잘 써지는 펜을 좋아한다.
필기구에 신경을 쓰는 이유는 펜이 좋으면 글을 잘 쓰고 또 많이 쓸 수 있을 것 같은 기분이 들기 때문이다.
허접한 펜은 치우고 만년필을 가지고 다녀야겠다. 집에 있는 만년필은 글씨가 잘써지고 펜끝의 촉감이 좋다. 좋은 펜을 집에만 놓고 썩히기에는 아깝다. 쓰지 않는 펜이 무슨 소용있나.
마음에 드는 펜에서 마음에 드는 문장이 마구 써졌으면 좋겠다. 그런데 사실 이 글은 스마트폰으로 쓰고 있다. 펜과 종이는 점점 쓸모가 없어지고 있다.
