American Sycamore
This tree can be found in southern Ontario and USA. It produces brown, spiky seed balls every year in the winter. They fall on the ground in the spring, spreading their seeds around
I hadn't seen it before. It looked nice to see the almost empty trees with only these seed balls hanging.

For what I read I don't think it's edible. Animals like squirrels do eat the seeds
