While reading a post, you don't necessarily need to scroll down to upvote the post, you can just click the three vertical dots at the top right of the post, to release a drop down as shown in the image below

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

Unfortunately this was added in the last release, therefore it's not an easter-egg in this release. Keep looking!
