His name was Mansa Musa one of the wealthiest man to ever live , his wealth was truly astonishing and was in real gold but his story doesn't start there ,it starts when the previous king before him #Abu #Bkah leaves his throne to go and see the edge of Atlantic Ocean but never returns.
It was in 1312 and lucky Musa ascends to the throne as customs required him , that was after Abu bkah had failed to return.
Then his home Mali was the center stage of trade as it was Rich in Gold and salt at a time Europe was struggling civil wars Mansa Musa was busy building universities, schools , armies , markets , mosques just like a modern economy would operates.
*Mansa Musa was so rich whenever he traveled he cause inflation throughout the country due to his giving nature, is was his fame that caused him trouble as the Europeans come see and conquer the famous Mansa Musa.
