NeedleworkMonday: Working Slowly And I Love It

in partiko •  6 years ago  (edited)

Happy #NeedleworkMonday everyone!

It has been two weeks since I began working on my top for office wear. I haven’t gotten far and I am crocheting slowly to make sure that I get the pattern correct.

(Top picture is the foundation row, bottom picture is from this morning.)

I adore the shell pattern for this top. Double crochet, chain, double crochet, chain, double crochet. That creates the shell and it repeats with a single crochet in between. It is so cute and looks like it will be perfect for summertime. I am being EXTRA careful at both ends because my last top started going inward at the edges and I do NOT want that to happen again.

The pattern calls for cotton yarn. However, I have to use what I have. Even though this is acrylic, it has a light feel.

I am looking forward to getting more done and showing off the finished product.

More on this next time. Have a great week of crafting!!

So glad you got it started! Yes definitely take your time to get the pattern correct! That is a lovely color ~

Nice color. I don't think it matters how fast, or slow, it is going. It will get done when it gets done.

Very pretty! I hear you with the edges - my last piece was definitely freeform. I was thinking yesterday that I need to do more experimenting with crochet to improve my technique. Hope you're enjoying your crochet :)

Oh that shell pattern is really lovely! And the colour is so delicate and summary:)))
Looking forward to you modeling the blouse!
