So today one of my workmates had a birthday kinda party at his house.
Soo, as usual I plan to get there on time, however I end up leaving about 5 minutes later than I should, LOL.
I ended up rushing to the liquor store (the local Dan Murphys) and pick up a box of 10 cans for myself and a box of 6 as a birthday gift for the man of the day right, well as I walked to the counter, someone behind me spoke up and said, " gday man, it's Josh right?" I turned around to see an old family friend and replied, "hey! Is it Benjie?" He replied, "Buzz".
So I chatted to Buzz for a bit and got on my way to my friends place, by the time I got there I was about 10 mins later than what I planned to be there by - [typical timing for me].
As I went to get out of the car, I just had a thought that I didn't buy cold drinks! Oh NOOO! (I very very rarely drink and this was the first time that I have ever actually bought drinks from the store in the way that I bought them) I realised that I needed to actually buy the boxes from the cooled upright cabinets with the glass windows because I needed them cold now!
So I opened the boot and just checked the drinks to somehow hope that they were magically cooled. They weren't..
I decided then to drive to the nearest store and buy one cooled box of 10 cans for me and give away the box of uncooled box of 6 cans to my mate. I got to the store and discovered that this identical 10 pack of cans cost $6 more than Dan Murphys did!!
Rip off..

I bought it and headed back to the house, walked through the gate and greeted Ant, at like 3:20PM ACST, 20 mins late to what I planned for.. typical of me, ha.
As I walked through the gate, I approached Ant, greeted him, handed him the birthday drinks and took a look at like eight other randoms I didn't recognise; all bar one which I couldn't put a finger on where I remembered her from (I eventually remembered that she works in a prison) I eventually had a chat with the majority of the peeps through the night, as you do.
I'd never been to Ant's place before, he and his partner, Candice had a huuuge outdoor, undercover patio space, equipped with a wall mounted TV, a patio fire 😍😍 and a jukebox and speaker hire setup.
I started drinking immediately; It's not a common occasion for me to drink so I was feeling good after a short while and I do enjoy the effects of alcamahol vibes. As time passed, more people arrived and I met more people who were aware of the current degrading state of the Australian society, economy, government, etc, etc. We ended up having conversations on gun laws and events, energy prices, small business employment history, work, employees, work mates, making fun of someones apprentice lollol..
I met another bloke who owned a small business air con company, he is a funny as guy I tell you, just the jokes and way he acted was pretty funny, great guy to drink with ha!
We had a bbq for tea, my clothes ended up smelling like ash from almost hugging the warm patio heater through the evening 😊
Overall it was a pretty good night, music was going all the time, and as time passed, the volume was raised so you had to shout for people to hear you speak and you had to lean in to hear them. I consumed 5 drinks of the 10 that I had got for myself and left the rest in Ant's esky, lucky bugger!
Once it was time to leave, I shook Ant's hand, hugged Candice goodbye and made my way to the front of the house and to my car, which still had the original 10 can box of drinks in it. Hmm what to do with that? I'll probably give it to my dad..
I ended up getting a lift to a friends place in my own car thanks to another friend who drove me and my car there. When we arrived, another friend had followed us there and the friend who had drove me to my friend's place then hopped in the other friend's car and went off home - are you following all that? friendception..
I spent the rest of the night catching up with my friend and now I'm about to fall asleep on the couch.
Side note: I think steemit is pretty cool because the vibe I get from it tells me that, 'it's cool to write anything I want to' so I document what has happened In my life, pure and simple, and these posts of mine are the result of my writing, obviously lol.
