on blacking out.

Have you ever blacked out? Have you ever experienced that sensation just before you lose control? It’s like nausea in your head, and pulls you under just softly enough that in retrospect you could’ve snapped out of it. But instead of snapping out of it, you drift away all at once. The notion of serenity oversteps your conscious brain, enticing some other part that willfully surrenders. Maybe it seemed harmless to let go, and maybe it was.
