So why did I write all this stuff in my previous article? https://steemit.com/ethereum/@techworker/pascal-coin-units-where-are-they
It's obvious: Where are the PascalCoin units? We just have PASC
, nothing else. If something costs 0.0001 PASC
, it costs 0.0001 PASC
- too abstract for normal use cases.
Examples:
Hey, how much for the coffee? 0.0020 pascal
Hey, how much for your account? 1.0020 pascal
I think, since it's such a young coin, we can make a community event from it and let the users vote - just for the fun of it. Did you know that PascalCoin has voting included? For free? If not, you should check out pascalcoin.org!
Some info beforehand:
There is a special (probably science) field that is called "numismatics" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numismatics): In numismatics the face on the coin is called "Effigy". So we could divide a single unit into 2 sub-units.
Here is my suggestion, based on the current 4 decimals:
Everything divisible by 10000 is be called PASC
with it's effigy called pascal
.
The decimals will be called NIKL
with it's effigy called Niklaus
.
Since I don't think the coin will be renamed, we can go with the designer of the pascal language and worship him. The pronounciation should be the same as the chemical.
Some examples:
Hey, how much for the coffee? 20 NIKL
Hey, how much for your account? 1 pascal and 20 NIKL
What do you think? :-))
