At least 44 people were killed after a passenger bus fell off the coast of Peru in Peru. The accident happened on Wednesday in the southern province of Acepia in the south of the country. Passenger bus fell into a girder below 100 meters above the highway.

Reports of news agency Reuters reported that local officials informed the accident. Aipa province's governor Yimilla Ojorio said in a tweet that Peru's National Police Department confirmed the news of the death of 44 people. The accident took place on one side of Panamerican tune highway in the Aripapa region.

The number of passengers on the bus was not known yet. Operating authorities say, at least 45 passengers were on the bus. Police say that the bus is more likely to have more people. In these buses, extra passengers are raised at different points.


In the current year, two tragic bus accident occurred in Peru. In January, 48 people were killed in clashes between buses and trucks in the Pacific coastal region. The lack of skill of the country's unsafe roads and drivers is considered to be responsible for such accidents.
