Today I am posting images of Passion Flowers. They are in full bloom these early days of Summer, around here.
The passion flowers or passion vines, also known as passiflora, is a genus of about 500 species of flowering plants, the type genus of the family Passifloraceae. They are mostly vines, with some being shrubs, and a few species being herbaceous. Their colour can vary. They have a very interesting, intricate inner structure, that I hope I captured in my photos.
