The gift of Fear of the Lord: Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evildoers. Proverbs 4:14

Like a father addressing his children, King Solomon addressed those who seek instruction. Because with the most perfect science comes life, prosperity, and happiness. Money and riches do not ensure life or the correct decisions, in this way the wisdom is presented to man as that treasure that must be found. And there is a gift that leads to this precious wisdom, the spiritual gift of fear of God; this gift is the beginning of the spiritual life of man, and so the Book of Proverbs explains: "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction" Proverbs 1:7.
Many powerful men fell into disgrace by forgetting and despising the fear of God like Cain in the Book of Genesis; while others guided by this fear reached great positions in society, like Joseph in the court of the Pharaoh or David a humble shepherd who became King of Israel. Used correctly the fear of God can become a powerful spiritual weapon. The spiritual gift of fear of the Lord is constancy, firmness, devotion, equanimity, and stability.
King Solomon explained in the Book of Proverbs that ignorance is a path to nowhere, and that everything begins with science, the fear of God is the desire to be instructed:
"Hold on to instruction, do not let it go;
guard it well, for it is your life" Proverbs 4:13.
And the fear of God can also be explained with other simple words, the fear of God is to stay away from the path of fools, the fear of God is to abhor sin:
"Do not set foot on the path of the wicked
or walk in the way of evildoers.
Avoid it, do not travel on it;
turn from it and go on your way.
For they cannot rest until they do evil;
they are robbed of sleep till they make someone stumble.
They eat the bread of wickedness
and drink the wine of violence" Proverbs 4:14-17.
