wow, I'm such a newb...
'anything that is not mapped is just a drag and boring' - I just found out that maps are one time item (each map one instance with 6 portals only, and you need map currency once more to reopen it, even for unaugmented revisit).

Oh you learn to love it as more maps drop many times a lower tier other times a higher one. You can also combine 3 of the same one for 1 tier higher by selling them to an npc.
If you are not already using Orb of Alchemy to upgrade them to rare I would recommend trying that out as well. While it makes it harder you get higher chance at more and better drops.
