추상 이미지는 이미지(구체적인 상)를 벗어나려는 이미지라고 생각했다.
I think an abstract image is the image that is trying to get out of the image.
이미지를 벗어나려는 나의 몇 가지 방법은 이렇다.
Here are some of my ways to get out of the image.
- 텍스쳐를 촬영하기 위한 것처럼, 카메라를 이미지에 가까이 가져갔다. 특정한 부분만을 선택했다.
Just like shooting a texture, I approach the camera close to the image. I chose only certain parts of the image.
이로써, 어떤 이미지는 인식할 수 있고, 어떤 이미지는 인식할 수 없다.
As a result, some images can be recognized, and some images cannot.
- 실재를 사진으로 촬영한 이미지들을 그대로 사용하지 않고 디스플레이를 통해 다시 촬영했다.
I did not use the photographed images of reality. The image output through the display and I took it with the digital camera again.
- 위의 방법으로 이미지에 디스플레이 패널의 레이어를 더하고 화질을 열화/변형시켰다.
In the above method, a display panel layer is added on the image and the image quality is deteriorated and poorly changed.

제작과정에서 단조로움을 벗어나기 위해 소리의 레이어를 구상했다.
During the process, I came up with an idea of adding a layer of sound to get out of monotony.
소리는 추상적 이미지를 연상 시키는 트리거라고 생각했다.
I thought the sound can be a trigger to remind abstract images.
여러 가지 사물을 연상 시킬 수 있는 사운드를 수집했다.
I collected sounds that reminded me of various things from various materials like water, iron, stone, and paper etc.
서로 다른 기표를 갖는 서로 다른 소리와 이미지들을 조합했다.
I combined sounds and images with different signifier.뒤로 갈수록 더 많은 영상과 소리들을 쌓아 중첩시켰다.
More and more images and sounds were piled and mixed up to the end of the video.

These are the images randomly archived from the exhibition site, all over the world.
