¿Participaste en la temporada 20? ¿Que aprendiste? ¿Que te gustaría reforzar de la enseñanza de esa temporada 20?

I saw that last season, the topic of blouse and skirt patterns was taught to girls. Where I participated in only two episodes. I could not attend the rest of the class because there was a discrepancy between our national sizes and the sizes of the last class. However, the sizes of this class are similar to our country's sizes, which is why I participated in Ma'am's class to learn more in detail. I hope she will guide me if I am wrong.

Comparte el modelo de camisa(imágenes propias) que te gustaría confeccionar ¿Será manga corta o manga larga?.

I have already presented my shirt design to you. I will show you the size of the long sleeve shirt.

#Task 1
For Task 1, you have said that we have been asked to show our model's measurements with our own pictures. And we have also been asked to describe the steps of our measurements. Therefore, I will focus on the shirt and pants that my model wants to take.

I have invited my husband as a helper today. I will take his shirt and pants measurements today.

The things I will need for this measurement are,
,,Measuring tape
,,Pen
,,A piece of paper

Measuring tape: You can never make a person's clothes without a measuring tape. That is why it is necessary in the first place.

Paper and pen

If you are a regular tailor, then you must keep a paper notebook with a pen or pencil to remember the measurements. Where you can write down the measurements of his clothes along with his name.

The measurements required for making a shirt are,
Shirt hem
Shoulder length
Sleeve hem (long or half)
Chest length
Stomach length
Arm circumference
Neck circumference
Armhole length
Cuff circumference

Shirt hem

28 inches in both front and back.
Now I will ask my client or husband to stand straight. Then I will measure the hem from his shoulder line once in the back and from the front as he likes. But he told me that he would take the same measurements for the front and back.

image.png

Shoulder

The shoulder measurement is 18 inches.
This is a very important measurement when measuring a shirt. I wrote down how many inches it is with a measuring tape from the beginning of one shoulder to the end of the other shoulder.

image.png

Sleeve

I took 23 inches for the sleeve.
This is from the rounded armhole of the shoulder to the end of the wrist. (Of course, it should be the size of a clenched fist).

image.png

Cuff and arm circumference

Cuff circumference 12 inches
Arm circumference 12 inches
It is definitely important to know the cuff and arm circumference for fitting long sleeves.

image.png

Chest and stomach circumference

37 inches chest measurement
and stomach measurement 35 inches.
I took this measurement around his chest and stomach.

image.png

image.png

Neck circumference

Neck circumference 15 inches
Another important measurement for a shirt is to measure the neck correctly. Where the beauty of the shirt lies. I measured his neck circumference with a tape measure.

#Task 2
I will now measure my husband's pants.
The measurements required for the pants are,

,,Waist circumference
,,Length from waist as per the person's requirement
,,Circumference around ankle

image.png

Waist circumference

Waist circumference 36 inches
Now I will measure my husband's entire waist with a tape measure.

image.png

Pants length

The length of the pants is 37 inches
Now I will ask him to sit up straight again and the correct measurement will come for him. I took the amount of slack my husband likes.

image.png

Ankle circumference

Here I got the ankle circumference of 13 inches.
I asked my husband what size he prefers to wear around his ankles and I took that. I want to make a shirt for my nephew through this class. I am very happy to learn the basics of making shirts and pants from this class.

¿Cual es tu motivo para aprender en ésta temporada 21 de los nuevos Steemit Learning Challengers (SLC)?

Because I cannot make men's clothes. That is why I decided to learn how to make these shirts and pants from @lunasilver Ma'am this season. And I accepted this challenge mainly because I am interested in learning something new from everyone's posts.

I am leaving here after thanking everyone. Stay well and healthy everyone.
